Ever seen a drop of water bounce?

water dropHere’s a great video that shows how a drop of water actually behaves, shot at 2000 frames per second and displayed 67 times slower. When the drop hits the water surface, it’s not completely connected to it, because there is a thin layer of air between the two bodies of water, but as the air is pushed aside, an important part of the drop merges with the water surface, and the rest bounces. And this happens all the time until the drop is completely dissolved! Isn’t it amazing?
